Board of Directors


The Stan Perron Charitable Foundation is governed by an independent Board of Directors.

Responsible for ensuring the Foundation’s work remains aligned with its founding vision, values and Funding Guidelines. The Board brings together a diverse range of experience across business, finance, governance, health, community services and philanthropy, providing strong oversight and thoughtful stewardship of the Foundation’s activities.

Elizabeth Perron AM
Executive Chair

Ms Elizabeth Perron has served on the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation Board since 2014 and was appointed Executive Chair following the passing of her father, Stan Perron AC, in November 2018.

She also serves as the Family Director of Perron Group Limited and is Chair of Toyota WA.

Ms Perron has extensive experience in the general community philanthropic sector and works closely with the Board and management team in overseeing the Foundation’s governance and operations.

In 2024, Ms Perron was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in recognition of her significant service to the charitable sector and the community, particularly through her leadership of the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation and philanthropic contributions in Western Australia.

Ross Ledger AM
Non-Executive Director

Mr Ross Ledger has more than 50 years’ experience in accounting and business and is a partner of R E Ledger Pty Ltd, which has operated since 1990. Prior to this, he was a partner of Hendry Rae & Court for 25 years.

He served on the Board of Perron Group Limited from 1991 until his retirement in June 2020 and continues to serve as a Non-Executive Director of the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation.

Mr Ledger is also a Director of the Australian Wildlife Conservancy and the Spinifex Charitable Trust.

He is a Life Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a member of the Taxation Institute of Australia. In 2020, he was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to the accounting profession, wildlife conservation and the community.

Steven Carulli
Non-Executive Director

Mr Steven Carulli was appointed to the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation Board in April 2001 and is also a Non-Executive Director of Perron Group Limited, having joined the Group Board in 2010.

He has more than 35 years’ experience in commercial property and was formerly Managing Director of Jones Lang LaSalle (WA) and a member of the firm’s Australian Executive.

Mr Carulli is the immediate past Chair of the WA Building Services Board and a current Board member of the Perth Children’s Hospital Foundation.

Dr Gervase Chaney
Executive Director

Dr Gervase Chaney was appointed to the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation Board in August 2018. A Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians, he is a distinguished medical practitioner and academic, and formerly served as Dean of the School of Medicine at The University of Notre Dame Australia (Fremantle).

Dr Chaney has held senior leadership roles within children’s health, including as Executive Director responsible for commissioning Perth Children’s Hospital and as Executive Director of Princess Margaret Hospital for Children.

In addition to his role as an Executive Director of the Foundation, Dr Chaney joined the Foundation’s management team in 2024 as Research and Partnerships Manager, supporting the Foundation’s expanding focus on health research and strategic partnerships.

Ross Robertson
Non-Executive Director

Mr Ross Robertson was appointed to the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation Board in December 2018. He is the former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Perron Group Limited, having held senior leadership roles within the Group over several decades.

Mr Robertson brings deep experience in financial management, governance and organisational leadership to the Foundation Board.

He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Fiona Payne
Non-Executive Director

Ms Fiona Payne was appointed to the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation Board in October 2021. Originally trained as a physiotherapist, she began her career working with sick and disabled children in hospital and community-based settings.

She has since held a range of senior executive and board roles, particularly within the not-for-profit sector, with a strong focus on health, disability services and community organisations.

Ms Payne brings extensive experience in service delivery, governance and advocacy to the Foundation Board.
