WA

Toyota WA is a key operating business of Perron Group, holding the exclusive rights to the wholesale distribution of Toyota vehicles and Toyota Genuine Parts and Accessories in Western Australia.

Established in 1963, Toyota WA supports a statewide dealer network spanning metropolitan Perth and regional and remote communities — from Albany in the south to Broome in the far north.

As custodian of the Toyota brand in Western Australia, Toyota WA continues to invest in world-class facilities, systems and capabilities that support Toyota’s position as the State’s leading supplier of passenger and commercial vehicles.

Vehicle Distribution

Toyota vehicles arrive by ship at the Port of Fremantle and are transported to Toyota WA’s vehicle distribution centre in Kewdale, where they are prepared for delivery to dealers across Western Australia.

At the Kewdale facility, vehicles undergo a comprehensive pre-delivery process, including compliance with Australian standards and the installation of Toyota Genuine Accessories in line with customer orders, before distribution to metropolitan and regional dealer locations.

In addition to vehicle processing, Toyota WA provides a wide range of operational and support services to the dealer network, including:

  • Dealer appointment and oversight

  • Training and development for dealership staff and technicians

  • Marketing and customer experience support

  • Warranty administration

  • Maintaining the standards and integrity of the Toyota brand

Toyota WA also supports Toyota’s multi-pathway approach to lower-emissions mobility, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell electric and battery-electric vehicle technologies, helping meet evolving customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Expanding Capacity
for the Future

Toyota WA continues to invest in the ongoing development and optimisation of its distribution facilities to support long-term operational efficiency, safety and sustainability.

These investments are focused on enhancing capacity, improving workplace environments and incorporating best-practice design and environmental standards, ensuring Toyota WA remains well positioned to support its dealer network and customers as the automotive landscape continues to evolve.

Parts & Accessories Distribution

Toyota WA also operates the wholesale parts and accessories business that supplies Toyota Genuine Parts and Accessories to the State’s dealer network.

With more than 660,000 Toyota vehicles on Western Australian roads, demand for parts and accessories remains strong, driven by ongoing servicing, repairs and vehicle customisation across both metropolitan and regional areas.

A New Parts and Accessories Distribution Centre

In 2025, Toyota WA commissioned a new, purpose-built Parts and Accessories Distribution Centre in Kewdale, marking a significant milestone in the development of its logistics capability.

Designed to meet current and future demand, the facility is approximately three times the size of the previous centre and incorporates advanced automation, high-capacity dispatch and inbound handling, and the ability to scale as operational needs grow and change.

At the heart of the facility is the ADAPTO Automated Storage and Retrieval System, developed in partnership with Vanderlande, a subsidiary of Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO), which recently rebranded to Toyota Automated Logistics (TAL). This system enables faster turnaround times, greater efficiency and improved accuracy, while minimising manual handling and damage.

The centre has been designed with flexibility in mind, allowing future expansion and adaptation — including the potential to support e-commerce operations as customer expectations continue to evolve.

Sustainability and Design

The new Parts and Accessories Distribution Centre reflects Toyota WA’s commitment to sustainability and responsible operations.

Designed by Perth-based Roxby Architects, the building incorporates a high-performance solar PV system, natural ventilation, sustainable materials and energy-efficient systems designed to minimise environmental impact.

The facility has been designed to achieve a high environmental performance rating, aligning with Toyota’s broader focus on sustainability and innovation.

Technology and Systems

Toyota WA also houses Perron Group’s Information Technology Services Division, which manages the advanced technology platforms that support vehicle and parts distribution operations, as well as providing IT services across the wider Perron Group.

These systems underpin security, efficiency, data integrity and scalability across Toyota WA’s operations, enabling the business to respond to growing volumes, increased complexity and evolving customer expectations.
